Here's the less dry lesson, remade after the super dry lesson below =) I'll just use the verses you guys chose, cause if i use everything, itll turn out to be more dry than the other one.... Lol... And it's modified too, cause I can't really use my visuals here..... so yup..
hahah, enjoy

Ephesians 6:13-18 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perserverance and supplication for all saints.

So, the 6 pieces of the armor of God are: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the sandals of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit.

Today, we'll be looking at 6 titans in the bible, and how they applied some of the armor to their lives.
-Daniel and the belt of truth
-Joseph and the breastplate of righteousness
-Paul and the sandals of peace
-Moses and the shield of faith
-Esther and the helmet of salvation
-David and the sword of the spirit

Belt of truth: Daniel 6:26 I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom, people must fear and reverance the God of Daniel. For he is the living God and he endures forever, his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.

This was said by King Darius after he witnessed Daniel's great testimony for God in the lion's den, where God shut the mouths of the lions so Daniel would not become their dinner.
We too should be like Daniel and proclaim the truth of the Lord, letting his light be a testimony in our lives.
Deuteronomy 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven about and upon the earth beneath; there is none else.

Beastplate of righteousness in the life of Joseph: Genesis 39:7-10 Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, and after awhile his master's wife took notice of Joseph and said,"Come to bed with me!" But he refused. "With me in charge," he told her,"my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has witheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God? And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.

We should learn to be like Joseph, putting on the breastplate of righteousness and run away from sin, living a righteous life of Christ in us.
Psalm 40:10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart, I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

Sandals of peace in Paul's life: Ephesians 2:14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,

Paul recognises that God has destroyed the enemy, that any barrier witholding him from the Lord God Almighty is broken. So he was not afraid of any problems that presented themselves before him. We should likewise live with this inner peace amidst the storms around us.
Isiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Shield of faith in the life of Moses: Deuteronomy 1:29-30 Then I said to you,"Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them. The Lord your God, who is going before you will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes.

Even though, the rest of the Israelites were afraid to go to war against the people in the promised land, Moses stood firm on the Lord, entrusting the battle to God even before the battle had begun. Similarly, we should live by faith, and stand firm on the word of God and his promises.
Romans 4:19-21 And being not weak in faith, he (Abraham) considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither the deadness of Sarah's womb; he staggered not all the promise of God through unbelief: but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was also able to perform.

Helmet of Salvation in Esther: Esther 5:2 When he saw Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased with her and held out to her the gold scepter that was in his hand. So Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.

Esther broke the law by going into the presence of King Xerxes when he had not requested it. But the King, by the grace of God, pointed his scepter at Esther as a gesture of mercy. We should be like her, putting on the helmet of salvation by stepping forward boldly to our challenges and claming victory for the Lord.
Psalm 3:8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord.

Sword of the Spirit as used by David: 1 Samuel 17:45 David said to the Philistine,"You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

David chose God as his weapon, and he used the power of the name of the Lord against an adversary everyone thought would overcome him: Goliath. In the end, David kicked butt. We should also use the power of the word of God to counter spiritual accusations and deception in our lives, and to move God's hand against the strongholds of sin.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, peircing even to dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Now take awhile and observe the armor of the different characters we have looked at today.
And now, take a look at your own armor. What would you want yours to be like?
The first question I'd like to ask you guys today is this: What do you want your armor to look like, everyone is a unique creation of God, called to a different purpose.
God's purpose in Paul's life was to establish churches and sustain them
God's purpose for Esther was to save the jews from destruction
God's purpose to David was to make him a conqueror and a warrior after God's heart
God's purpose for Moses was to re-establish the connection with his people and lead them to freedom in him
God's purpose in the life of Joseph was to spread His truth to Egypt, to the lowly and those of high status, to gel the nation of Israel together and to deliver them from famine.
God's purpose to Daniel was to give godly advise the Kings' and bring His light to the nobility.

How do you want God to use you?
-> In big congregations as a speaker?
-> To change the lives of friends and those around you?
-> To be the leader of a small group?
-> To go out and aid the needy in volunteer outreach programmes?
-> To mentor others?

The next 2 questions I'd like to ask you is this: What armor pieces are you missing in your life today? And how will it affect you in the ministry that God has called you to?

But, no matter what ministry we are in, our ultimate goal is this: Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

So be ready for this mission, be prepared. Put on the full armor of God so that (Ephesians 6:13) ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Now God can't use a heart that doesn't want to recieve him.
God can't use a heart that's full of other commitments either.
But God can use an empty vessel, and make it overflow and overflow and overflow with His blessings, with His love, to everyone else around him, to shake the nations.

So my last question for you today is this, are you ready to be filled, to let yourself be used by him?

-J's last lesson.
Have a great journey with God ya'll =)
Much love.
